Today I thought I would share with you my favourites for this month. Within this it will be mostly beauty but also fashion items. I’m just going to get straight into it, I’ll try and price some items but most were actually gifts so I won’t be sure of them.
Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation – £27
With some of my Christmas vouchers and money, I decided to finally buy an expensive foundation and after recommendations from a few people, I went for this one. I got it colour matched in the shop and I was the shade 2.0 if that is any reference to anyone. I don’t use it every day as it is quite an expensive foundation to be using daily, and I as a student cannot afford to purchase this as frequently as my usual every day drug store ones. However, it is amazing and I’m always so tempted to just wear this all the time now but I have to convince myself not to. If I wear it too much then I will start hating my drug store foundation! It stays on my skin for the entire day, and that’s without a primer also when I’m being lazy. It’s very easy to apply and you also don’t need much, a little goes a long way!
Daisy Dream By Marc Jacobs
I don’t know the price of this perfume as it was a Christmas gift from my boyfriend and I don’t want to be cheeky and search it up, but I am sure you may have this perfume or saw it somewhere. This is actually my second bottle as I’ve just about finished my one I got last year and was so happy when I got a new bottle – I had been savouring and rationing my last bottle so it didn’t run out! This is such a light and fresh smell and I love it. Although I don’t like really strong floral perfumes, this is not too florally and mainly sweet scented.
Again, this was a gift and I’m not sure on the price of this. I received this for Christmas and have been wearing it most days when I go outside. The colours are so pretty and I have a cosy hat with similar combinations which I wear with it to match. It has been definitely needed in this cold January and a very pretty addition to my ever-growing scarf collection.
Benefit ‘They’re Real!’ mascara: £19-£20
The price sometimes varies with this one, as you some times get the price lowered in some shops or an offer. I’ve had this mascara a few times before and always loved it, but hadn’t got it again in a while. This was one of my stocking fillers and I was so happy to finally have it back! Although it is a real tough one to get off afterwards, it works wonders for my eyelashes. I know some people have said it doesn’t seem to work for them as well, but for me it does. I am thinking of getting my hands on the makeup remover they offer for this mascara, as I often find mascara still on my eyelashes the next day even after I’ve washed and soaked them.
MAC Lipstick: ‘Touch’ – £15.50
This month I have been wearing this lipstick nearly most days when I’ve been wearing makeup. It’s a neutral shade but not quite nude as it has a hint of brown and I love it.
GHD Advanced Split End Therapy
Again, this was a present so I am not sure of the prices. This year I finally got a new pair of straighteners which was much needed as my other ones were years and year old (they creaked when I used them…). With that I got this bottle of split end therapy and have been using it a few times after my shower and before drying my hair. Firstly, it smells amazing. Secondly, my hair feel so soft and freshly cut afterwards. I don’t have tonnes of split ends as I try to go to the hair dresser as regularly as possible, but this is good to use before straightening your hair to prevent them from occurring.
That’s all for my January favourites this month and I’ll try to make this a monthly thing if enough things spark my interest next month! Let me know if you’ve got any of these or have any of your own favourites.
Until next time…
