Deeside Exploring

My friends and I all planned a touring trip around the Deeside area to visit some sights and castles we hadn’t seen before. Eight of us set off in three cars and began the journey using good old maps and road signs. The day started off raining and as we got further inland, it ended up snowing. A lot. We didn’t let that stop our plan though and carried on to our first stop, The Burn O’ Vat. Here there was a waterfall in which we could actually go through rocks and stand between it. Some of us, not me, were brave enough to climb right to the top.

We then headed to Ballater afterwards where we visited a sweetie shop where they homemade all their sweets and fudges. After drying off, we set off to go to Crathes Castle but had our lunch before. We then realised by the time we were finished, Crathes Castle was shutting in ten minutes so we decided to head to Drum castle instead.

After finally getting the perfect leaping shot in front of the castle, we headed back home to then get ready to go out for a birthday meal.

Thanks for reading!

Until next time…
