Hello, good afternoon or evening – whatever time it is while you’re reading this! For me, it’s nearly 11pm on a Saturday night – yes, I’m a fake student and I don’t go out every weekend. Or does this make me a real student because realistically, I can only afford to go out on weekdays, hm? It’s been a while since I last wrote a blog post updating you all on myself (not to sound like I love talking about myself or anything..). As much as I love blogging about different products I enjoy, hints and tips and places I travel to – I like updating you all on what’s going on in my life sometimes. Personally, I love reading other bloggers more personal posts where I feel I have the chance to know them a bit better as a person rather than just words on a screen – so I thought this would be a chance for me to blab a bit (or a lot, I’m not sure yet ha!). I’m just going to see where this post takes me, so be prepared for some rambling!
I recently completed my first year of University, which is very, very exciting and unreal. It was by-far one of the quickest but best years of my life so far. Over the past year I have been placed in situations and experiences which I have never been before, and I loved it for that. Without noticing or knowing it, I probably learnt a lot – and not just about accounting or economics. I’m currently waiting on my second semester exam results which (fingers crossed), I haven’t failed. Although, that could be doubtful for Economics because I seriously still don’t understand what is going on with that…
I have been working like crazy the past month, so that is my excuse for being a bit quiet around here. It’s very hard to find time to sit, write, take blog photos or even scroll through and read other bloggers posts. I’ve finally got a day off tomorrow and I’m very happy I can squeeze in some blogging. I’m juggling two part-time jobs at the moment, so filling my days and hours with this leaves me exhausted by the evening. Why, Kianna, are you spending your whole Summer holidays working? you may ask. Or you may not – but this is a rambling post so I’m going to be telling you any way.
At the end of August I will be flying over to Germany to study for the first semester of second year which is very, very scary but equally exciting. So of course, I’m working my butt off to be able to afford to live there without worrying and hopefully do a bit of travelling while I’m at it. I will definitely be taking you on my journey over there and I’ll be sure to update you all – especially on my instagram which you can go and follow here if you haven’t already! Do you speak any German?! you also may ask. No, but it was on my Summer bucket list to start learning. I still haven’t started and feel like I’ll never have time to actually start which panics me a bit. Anyone know how to crash learn a language for someone who can only speak one?
Also on my bucket list this Summer is to finally start a YouTube channel which may take a wee while for me to build up the courage to do. (It’s currently created, so if you want to get a head start and subscribe now, then feel free to do so here!) I want to document my journey and time over in Germany so starting during Summer would mean I would be more comfortable to do so by then. Although, sitting in front of a camera and chatting scares me – but what scares me the most is people who I actually know watching it! It makes my toes curl with cringeyness a bit but I’ll hopefully try ignore that thought. Even after two years of blogging, knowing people I know read my blog makes me feel awkward and I seriously don’t know why. Hello to anyone who may know me – let’s embrace the awkwardness. 🙂
Right, ramble over. I think that’s me caught up with all the major events in my life at the moment! If you’ve read this far, then thank you and well done haha!
Until next time…
