A Weekend at The Boat Inn – Aboyne

Last weekend, Cameron and I headed off to Deeside for a weekend away in Aboyne. We stayed at The Boat Inn, which only opened their accommodation this Summer!

boyneWe had one of the rooms in The Boat House, and it was stunning. We arrived around 5pm, with enough time to settle in before heading to the restaurant for a bite to eat.

aboyne9I ordered the steak sandwich, which was so tasty and I finished everything. Cameron ordered the burger which also looked amazing. The restaurant was full and buzzing with everyone celebrating the beginning of the weekend.

Afterwards, we walked off our dinner around Aboyne and the River Dee.

I loved the rooms modern style, and splashes of colour and pattern. As well as the giant bath in the middle of the room. I made sure to make use of this (with closed curtains I may add…) in the evening while watching a movie, and it was just what I needed.

We had our own wee patio, which with the lovely weather that weekend, was lovely to sit outside with our morning coffee. Everything was so quiet and peaceful and I could have sat there all morning, if breakfast weren’t calling me…

Speaking of which, breakfast was included both mornings of our stay and it was delicious. The first morning I had the full Scottish breakfast, and the second morning I had the French toast with bacon and maple syrup. There were also a selection of fresh juices, toast, cereals, and yoghurts to help yourself to too.

I loved the cosy vibe of the inn, and I could definitely imagine how lovely it would to stay here in the Winter. I would definitely visit again, for the food and the accommodation. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in the Deeside area, then I definitely recommend having a look here or at least popping in for some dinner.

You can have a look at their website¬†here!¬†The rooms are also dog friendly, so if you’re bringing along your furry friends then don’t be put off!

Thank you for reading!

Until next time…
